Hotel Guest Reviews of the Kings Inn

Started with a poor first impression of the lobby and went downhill from there. Walking to my room, I noted the numbers on one door had been replaced with masking tape! The sheets on the bed were see-through thin, the blanket was old and unraveling. The towels were thinner and rougher than the YMCA's. The room was hot. A screen less window had been left open so I felt a need to check for animals. The trim on another window was coming off. The toilet seat was stained and the vinyl coating was coming off of it. The upholstery on the desk chairs was terribly stained and seemed too dirty to sit on without first covering with a towel. The room faced the interstate only yards away. A smoke detector chirped loudly in the hall outside my room (but was repaired during the night after I called). My wake-up call never came. The complimentary breakfast (coffee, a piece of fruit and a small, greasy pastry) is delivered to the door because there is no breakfast room. Then the person asked if I wanted my room serviced or needed fresh towels. They were going to leave the towels in the hall outside the door. Definitely not worth even half of the price I paid. I would never willingly stay here again. It doesn't even deserve a one-star. This area needs a clean, modern, even no-frills hotel because of the boarding schools in the vicinity. ...read more

Small and quaint with good personal service; hotel is basic, but overall, a good value for the money.

The hall was a bit stinky but the room itself was clean and had plenty of room other than he tiny shower stall. Overall for the price it was average.
